We then develop projects that deliver facilities, knowledge, and skills that respect and support lifelong positive change.

  • Mobile and Onsite Teaching Kitchens

    FGTT designs and installs mobile and onsite green teaching and production kitchens that are safe, sustainable, and energy-efficient and are built from non-toxic, renewable materials for Single Room Occupancy Hotels, Schools, After School Programs, Clinics, and other organizations and locations. FGTT provides staff training and materials to support ongoing care of the facilities as well as health and cooking education.

  • Safety and Prevention Exchange Programs

    FGTT designed a proprietary cooking system to give Single Room Occupancy Hotel residents and families the opportunity to exchange cooking equipment they currently use, legal or not, for a safe mobile, energy-efficient, equipped in-room cooking unit, without questions and judgement. The cooking units feature special energy-efficient, non-flammable burners to prevent burns, fires, and loss of property and life. FGTT provides coaching and materials to support ongoing care of the cooking systems as well as health and cooking education.

  • Youth Health Education and Cooking Programs

    FGTT health education and cooking classes focus on prevention. Working in school day and after school programs they convey eating and living green principles and skills to reduce and prevent youth and family health problems. Classes and events include organic cooking classes using familiar, traditional ingredients and foods. FGTT classes are flexible to meet the needs of the community. Each class meets once a week for at least two hours and during this time students learn simple recipes, develop culinary skills, and practice eat and live green principles.

  • Parent and Teacher Health Education and Cooking Programs

    Children watch and learn from people around them. Parents, teachers, administrators, board members, and peers influence student behaviors and health habits. FGTT includes parent and teacher classes to reinforce student learning. Everyone is invited to observe, taste, and celebrate during daily classes and at the student's culminating party. With the students they create and implement school nutrition and health policies, e.g., healthy fundraising events, vending sales, classroom nutrition rules, and healthy snacks.
