Healthy Schools and Healthy Meals

Every meal students see or eat at school sends a message about healthy food choices. FGTT plans menus, develops recipes and provides breakfast, lunch and after school snacks based on the current principles of good nutrition and health, e.g., U.S. Dietary Guidelines 2000…and takes it to still another healthier level, combining these principles with fresh, organic ingredients. All student meals are made from scratch, no fast foods or catering from fast food establishments.

Students continue to learn about health and nutrition reflected in the meals prepared for them daily. Additionally, classroom lessons and tastings are connected with and reinforced by cafeteria events, posters, and menus. Parents and school staff are always welcome to join students at any meal.
